I’m Starting to Think About Christmas Shopping Early to Prevent Stress
I know we do not like to mention that dreaded word, but Christmas is creeping up on us fast. Before you know it there will only be a few weeks left and the panic would have started. People will slowly start to break out in a cold sweat and worry about what they should be buying for everybody.
Last year I had plenty of time for Christmas shopping and it was brilliant. I did not have that last minute rush to the shopping centre and I could take a leisurely walk around the town with no hassle and no crowds. As I am working full time this year, I need to get myself totally organised.
I find that one of the worst parts of Christmas is pinning down the family and finding out what they want me to get them. I actually do not mind spending money if I know what I am buying, it just gets to me when you traipse round the shops, thinking would they like this, would they like that and still coming home with nothing.
I have decided this year I would like to try and help the environment and have decided to take a look at eco friendly gift ideas. I love to be able to help others and the planet whilst doing some shopping, and isn’t Christmas the best time to do this?
Looking around for gift ideas is a time consuming process with all the choice available, but while I’ve been at it I think I’ve also found some lovely tableware so if nothing else I know my Christmas dining table will be looking fabulous this year!.
As per usual my husband never knows what to buy me, so I have dropped a few hints about recycled vases. That way he really will not have a valid reason why he cannot get me some flowers throughout the year. You have to give them a push in the right direction sometimes don’t you.
Oh well I digress, I must get back to my shopping lists and see what Great Aunt Gladys wants this year it will probably be the same as every other year pink fluffy slippers!
