Oh we all know what it's like to have to decide what type of makeup looks best, or really, what to do to find make up to look classy. That's a hard decision and one that you have to almost play by ear. From high school when you likely first started dabbling in lipsticks and foundation, you have been developing preferences.

The major thing to remember is that if you are fair, you need a fair foundation with a touch of rose to it. If you are darker, then stick to a darker foundation that accents your natural skin color. You're trying to even out the tones on your face, not make them stand out. So if in doubt, why not consult a makeup specialist at your local department store.

Most of the major makeup brand names like Estee Lauder will offer makeovers at the cosmetics counter. What a lovely time. You get to see what you will look like in some of the best cosmetics available today. Take note of how the make up is applied, what colors are used and even how the foundation is blended.

By the time you are done you likely won't recognize yourself. That's the fun part. Imagine being able to look like that every day. You can look that good every day with just a few lessons from the pros. That doesn't mean you have to use lots of make up to look good, in fact, less is more when it comes to make up. So, use care and a light hand.
